I recently had the most incredible experience at this beachfront resort on Ambergris Caye, marked by its tropical vibe and friendly staff. While the resort offers various activities and has a decent size pool, the dining service could be a bit slow at times, which was a minor drawback. Overall, the ambiance is relaxing, and the beautiful surroundings make it a great getaway despite some maintenance issues in the rooms.

Matachica Resort is an absolute gem on the North shore of San Pedro. The grounds are stunning, and the atmosphere is both romantic and artistic, perfect for a getaway. While the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, we did have an issue with some unexpected guests in our casita which detracted from our experience. Overall, it's a beautiful place to stay with great dining options, but be prepared for a rustic charm that comes with the setting.
